St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 35 South Main Street
Visitors are invited inside to enjoy the fine stained glass winodws of this 1909 church. Local Methodism dates from 1836, when services began to be held in the old schoolhouse. In 1838 the John Stearns family donated lot number 81 for the first church, which was remodeled and enlarged in 1879. This building was demolished and the “new church” was dedicated on March 21, 1909.
